Gurpreet has over 20 years of broad cross-functional leadership experience in the technology industry in roles ranging from strategic business planning and management, business development, product development, management and marketing.
Gurpreet was the first Product Manager on board at Pure Storage as the company went from near zero revenue to more than $500 million in annual revenues during the three and half years that he was there. During his time there, he built out the product management and technical marketing functions at Pure Storage and was responsible for overall Product Strategy, Roadmap and Core Positioning, Strategic Business Planning, Business Models and GTM Programs amongst other things.
Prior to that he has served in various capacities at companies like Riverbed, Brocade, Microsoft and Cisco amongst others.
Gurpreet holds a MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and an MSEE from UCLA.
With 28 years building high performing sales, marketing, consulting and product delivery teams, Dan Heydenfeldt has held leadership roles at Pure Storage, Gartner, Symantec, Limelight Networks and others.
Prior to Pavilion, Dan served as VP Global Field Operations at Pure Storage as the company grew from $70M to over $650M in sales over 3 years and a successful IPO in Oct 2015. During his time there, he scaled Sales Operations globally, built out global Inside Sales and was responsible for Field Training and Enablement, amongst other responsibilities.
Prior to Pure Storage, Dan served as Vice President, North American Solutions at Gartner, and played a key role in scaling the organization from $250M to nearly $1B in sales. Dan developed his sales expertise early in his career at Xerox where he was responsible for district sales operations, and training. Dan also served as GVP Sales at Limelight Networks, CMO for The Hackett Group, VP Americas Professional Services for Symantec, and President of Nextiva, an emerging VoIP service provider based in Arizona.
VR Satish is the Chief Technology Officer at Pavilion Data Systems and brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise storage software products. Prior to joining Pavilion Data, he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Artiman Ventures. Satish was an early employee of Veritas and later served as the Vice President and the Chief Technology Officer for the Information & Availability Group at Symantec Corporation prior to joining Artiman. His current areas of interest include distributed computing, information-centric storage architectures and virtualization. Satish holds multiple patents in storage management, and earned his Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Florida.
Sundar is the Co-founder of Pavilion Data Systems and brings more than 15 years of enterprise data center and software development expertise to the company. Prior to Pavilion Data, he was a founding engineer and Director of Engineering at SeaMicro (AMD) where he led the software development of the industry leading converged appliance products SM10000 and SM15000. Prior to SeaMicro, he held key engineering positions at successful startups Aruba Wireless Networks & ONI Systems.
He holds a MS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
Jeff is in charge of Product Marketing and Management at Pavilion Data Systems, and brings over a decade of enterprise storage product experience to Pavilion. Jeff comes from Western Digital, where he ran the HGST PCIe/NVMe SSD business. In this role, along with his prior roles at Virident (Western Digital) and Fusion-io, Jeff focused on low latency storage products that powered some of the largest scale-out database deployments in the world. Jeff also held Senior Product Management and Marketing roles at DataDomain (EMC), PathScale (QLogic), NetApp, and Brocade. Jeff spent many years in engineering prior to transitioning to Marketing, including eleven years at Tandem Computers (HP NonStop).
He has a BS in Mathematics and an MS in Computer Engineering from the California State University, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
